Chinese contemporary brand Mo&Co, which has legions of fans across Asia, has landed in Selfridges, Birmingham.


The Chinese label, which boasts over 600 stores in China, Hong Kong and Macau, is now exclusive to Selfridges in the UK, and is expected to be a huge hit with shoppers.


Mo&Co’s distinctive aesthetic designs combine contemporary fashion with a sense of fun, as well as a diverse mix of style and cultural references.


Highlights from the AW15 collection, which are available in store now, include a deconstructed powder blue felt wrap coat, sharply cut shirts with painted illustrations, pinstripe wool culottes and futuristic glitter trainers.

In May, it was revealed that the iconic Birmingham store has seen a steady rise in  international customers, especially from China, over the past five years. In response to this, the number of Mandarin speaking members of staff has increased to over 35, while nationwide, Selfridges has been looking to offer brands with a broader global perspective.


Adam Hockney, general manager of Selfridges Birmingham, said: “Mo&Co may only have been in store for a few days but it is already proving a hit with both our domestic customers, who are discovering the brand for the first time, and international customers who are familiar with the label’s aesthetic.
