Personal Beauty Shopper Rose Gallagher takes us through her product of the week, Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum, soon to be available at Selfridges Beauty Hall….
When trying to select my product of the week today I kept coming back to one thing. Now just to annoy you, this isn’t even available yet. But I’m too obsessed to wait!
A little while ago, a friend in the know gave me a rave review of Estee Lauder’s upcoming Enlighten skincare collection. This is essentially designed to target any discolouration in the skin. For some people discolouration means pigmentation or dark circles, but for me it means redness. After a few weeks of early mornings and late nights, I’d found my complexion to be a little ruddier and duller than usual and needed a pick-me-up sharpish. Erin, the Lauder counter manager, broke the news that I’d have to wait until October 1 for the launch, but to tide me over she gave me a couple of miniature samples. A week later I found my skin glowy, brighter and distinctly less red. And all this from a sachet!
Now I must stress that I used this serum as part of a full regime. For me this means cleanse (to remove make-up), cleanse again (for a deep clean), toner (something with fruit acids to exfoliate), serum, a few drops of oil and then a cream. By my 7th morning I noticed the redness around my nose had almost completely calmed down and in general my skin looked much more luminous.
While we’re talking discolouration, I must give a nod to one of my personal firm favourites, Advanced Night Repair. The newly revamped eye serum has single-handedly alleviated the blueness from under my eyes in a way that even my far-more-expensive eye counterparts have been unable to manage.
So why am I harping on about a product you can’t even buy yet? Well, it’s simple. I haven’t even bought it yet, but I’ve already seen a difference. So what I want you to do is come into Selfridges and take away a sample of something from the Enlighten range. There’s another two weeks until we launch it exclusively, so try it for yourself in the meantime and see if it works for you.
Visit Erin and the Estee Lauder team and quote ‘Shopping in Birmingham’ for your complimentary Enlighten sample*. I hope you love it as much as I do. Don’t forget my top tip: fold your sachet down and seal it with a bobby pin between uses to keep the contents fresh and your dresser clean.
*Offer available while stocks last.
