Rola Wala set to spice up Selfridges Birmingham

Indian street food restaurant, Rola Wala is set to spice up Selfridges as it opens in the Food Hall this month.

Starting back in 2013, Rola Wala has made a name for itself in the London street food scene after being named runner up in ‘Best Street Food’ by the Young British Foodies and ‘Top 5 next-wave names to know’ in street food by Zagat.

Rola Wala, which means the man that rolls in Hindi, specialises in making flavour fuelled Indian street food from scratch, using only the highest quality ingredients.

The new restaurant which has branches in Leeds, London and Oxford is set to replace Izza Pizza, which closed a few weeks ago in the Food Hall.

On their menu, diners can expect flavour-packed dishes such as spice bowls filled with sweet potato saagwala, Nagaland lamb or chicken tikka, and vegan-friendly red dal served with sourdough naan or nutrient-rich red rice from Sri Lanka.

Complement the main course with a range of sides, including Kashmiri Cauliflower Popcorn Bombay Birdsnest Fries, Avo’ Chaat Salad, and the incredible ‘Red Channa Dal’ – a spice-fuelled twist on India’s favourite comfort food.

Rola Wala will open on Monday 19th February.

To welcome new customers, Rola Wala is offering 50% off any meal until the end of February. To sign up for a money-off voucher, visit
