The eyes of the world are on South American at the moment. Birmingham based Bodega Bar and Cantina have been drawing their influences from that side of the globe for over four years now.
A new seasonal menu is now being served at Bodega. Flavorsome new additions include Colombian spiced chicken – grilled chicken breast marinated in cinnamon and orange spices; spicy pibil shredded chicken and chilli and agave mustard dressed carrot, cabbage and coriander tacos. No Bodega menu would be complete without a lineup of burritos, our new ones include – smokey slow roasted beef brisket, homemade chilli with dark chocolate and roasted vegetables with cilantro rice, fresh salsa, black beans and a mix of cheeses – South America on a plate!

A welcome return to the menu is the soft shell crab – eat it whole and enjoy the crunchy texture with a side of pineapple salsa. Customers are encouraged to try the pan fried sardines in a spicy tomato and olive sauce or the banderillas – savoury skewers with artichoke hearts, green olives, anchovies and quail eggs.
The menu also comes with gluten free signifiers – ensuring customers who might be on a restricted diet don’t miss out.
As if that wasn’t enough a new logo has recently been launched as well as an updated website which now incorporates online bookings so customers can book a table whatever the time of day.
Bodega is open every day from noon, booking is advised.
