Telion Café & Deli opened its doors on Bull Street five months ago to offer a feast of delicious and healthy Greek style dishes. A Mechanical Engineer by trade, owner Kostas originally studied in Newcastle, returned to Greece to work in engineering and IT but dreamed about opening a food business. He eventually ventured back to the UK last year and chose Birmingham as a base to bring new tastes to the city through Telion.
“I’d describe myself as a Geordie to a Brummie with a touch of Greek”
Telion offers customers the best of both worlds – from coffee the Italian way (using highly respected roasts) to deli pastries, moussaka and bougatsa, all made with the finest olive oil from Greece, as well as traditional sandwiches, a daily ‘dish of the day’ and a fully stocked deli. Offering value for money across the entire menu, Kostas loves nothing more than to see customers leave with a smile on their face.
“The city has accepted us with open arms and we’re thankful to the people of Birmingham for that”
Meet Kostas at our ‘Celebration of Independents’ Summer Garden Party at Great Western Arcade from 6-9pm on 4 July.
