Selfridges Birmingham will be hit by cupid’s bow and turn pink this Valentine’s day from Saturday 9th February until Thursday 14th.

The premium Bullring department store is the one-stop destination to find that special someone a token of love – or a grand gesture.
Parisian-inspired florist L’Amour De Fleur will be in store, selling its gorgeous preserved roses, which look and feel like freshly picked roses but last for up to a year. Selfridges customers will be able to purchase an exclusive heart box, filled with preserved roses for £85, while a Grand Elenore box with with more than 30 everlasting roses will cost £250. The florist will also sell fresh, hand-tied roses, costing from £8.95 for a single bloom up to £180 for a bouquet of 30-40 stems.
Bubbly, candles, sweet treats and perfume are the perfect complement to flowers. Diptyque’s Centifolia scented candle is a stunner and at £53 is a great choice for Valentine’s Day, while you can bring out the dark side of your chocoholic with the Dark, Brooding and Irresistible dark chocolate bar (£5.99).

No Valentine’s Day date is complete without a glass or two of Champagne and the Selfridges Selection Esprit Rosé (£37.99) will get the evening off on the right foot. This premium house Champagne from the House of Giraud is packed with vibrant red fruits, grenadine and spice.
Nothing to wear? Whistles comes to the rescue with a romantic heart-embroidered chiffon maxi dress (£199), while Comme des Garçons has embraced Valentine’s Day with a pure cotton t-shirt (£80) with the signature goggle-eyed motif embroidered into a heart.
Keep those lips kissable – Yves Saint Laurent’s Volupté Tint-in-Balm (£28) gives instant colour glow, thanks to the innovative melting two-in-one formula. Enriched with jojoba oil, coriander, macadamia oil, with apricot, passion fruit and pomegranate extract, the balm leaves lips nourished and hydrated.
Romantic dinner for two? The elegant Fumo restaurant on level 4 will be the destination for romantics on Valentine’s Day, with a special three-course set menu being served in the evening (with meat, fish, vegetarian options available). Enjoy a glass of Prosecco upon arrival and relax during dinner, as a live band plays romantic songs to add to the mood of love.
