Wilko Johnson, the original Dr Feelgood guitarist, actor (Game of Thrones character Ser ilyn Payne) and all round national treasure, brings his rousing, exciting brand of R&B to Town Hall on Friday, 8 May 2020. The Classic Rock Show comes to Town Hall on Wednesday, 19 February 2020, paying tribute to many of the world’s all time classic rock greats. Anthem aftr anthem, riff after riff, and solo after solo, The Classic Rock Show’s musicians power through legendary performances from the likes of Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, AC/DC, Queen plus much, much more. George Celebrating of the Songs and Music of George Michael features The National Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and vocals from the sensational Rob Lamberti at Symphony Hall on Sunday, 10 May 2020. The show honours the music of George Michael, re-living a pantheon of hits like no other, from Wham! to his iconic solo career. Tickets available from 4 October 2019.

Jazzlines is Town Hall Symphony Hall Birmingham’s unique programme of live jazz performances and education projects:

Jazzlines presents Shivraj Singh at Hall 5, The ICC Birmingham on Friday, 15 November 2019. Birmingham jazz double bassist, Shivraj has come through Town Hall Symphony Hall’s talent development programme and studied with musicians from around the world and at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Shivraj says: “Town Hall Symphony Hall played a major part in my development as a young musician. Just by the simple fact of the connections and opportunities they’ve given me and the teachers they’ve put me in touch with. The efficiency of teaching you how to be a good musician but also the stuff outside the music like how to promote yourself is really important if you want to be a musician”.

The Olly Chalk Trio, plus John O’Gallagher, perform a Jazzlines’ gig at Hall 5, The ICC Birmingham on Friday, 29 November 2019. Also a graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Olly walks the high-wire between total freedom and detailed (often through-composed) writing. The event is free but booking is required. Jazz singer, composer and improvising musician, Becca Wilkins will combine an original style with a fresh approach to vocal musicianship, exploring the different textures and timbres possible with the human voice, at the Jazzlines performance at Hall 5, The ICC Birmingham on Friday, 13 December 2019.
