Visitors to Bullring & Grand Central this Saturday (18th September 2021) will be able to enjoy six hours of free performances from some of the city’s most talented performers as the Break Mission X B-SIDE Hip Hop Festival returns to Birmingham.
Between 11am and 5pm on Lower Mall outside of H&M and New Look, customers will be able to watch dance battles, group performances and musicians at the festival, which is being produced by Birmingham Hippodrome Festivals and local community hip-hop events and educational organisation, Break Mission.
Break Mission seek to raise awareness of the homeless situation in the city through dance, music and art, and give back to the community by asking audiences and performers to provide clothing and food donations. During the B-SIDE Hip Hop Festival event the Break Mission team will be hosting a donation station by the performance area where customers will be able to donate their old trainers, which will then be given to the homeless in Birmingham. Break Mission will also be performing at the event with their Brum Bull mascot.
Danielle Bozward, Marketing Manager at Bullring & Grand Central, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting B-SIDE Hip Hop Festival at Bullring & Grand Central as part of our continued partnership with Birmingham Hippodrome. It’s also fantastic that on this occasion we’re able to team up with Break Mission to give back to the community and provide them with a platform to raise awareness of their efforts.”
A full schedule of the festival can be found at www.bullring.co.uk and as always the centre’s iconic Bull will be getting involved – look out for his special outfit!
