Selfridges Birmingham will be transformed into an Egg Village, with fun games and arts and crafts for youngsters, later this month as part of a weekend of Easter events.
Aimed especially for children aged between three and 10, the Easter activities on Good Friday (March 30) and on Saturday, March 31, in store will also include breakfast and an Easter egg hunt.
Breakfast in the Egg Village takes place at 9am and 10.30am and costs just £15 per person – and all children will also receive a small Easter gift.
Children are also invited to take part in the free Easter egg hunts that are taking place in the Bullring department store from 10am – 8pm on Good Friday and Saturday, March 31.
Participants will receive an illustrated entry card and will have to find eggs that are hidden in the toy and children’s wear departments. Everyone will receive an Easter egg and a rosette. Tickets can be booked here
The store has a huge range of Easter eggs for all ages – from Kinder Surprise eggs (£7.99) up to deluxe Charbonnel et Walker egg (£45) for discerning grown-ups – as well as traditional Simnel cake from Melrose & Morgan (pack of six mini cakes for £10.99 or £19.99 for a large cake).
Cuddly Jellycat rabbits are the perfect seasonal gift (£12-£80), while your little bunnies will look adorable in The White Company white knitted bunny jumper or the jacquard lamb motif cotton blend jumper (aged 0-2 years, £30). Complimentary cupcake personalisations are also available at Lola’s Cupcakes in the Selfridges Birmingham Foodhall.
Sam Watts, general manager at Selfridges, said: “We’re all looking forward to the arrival of Spring and Easter, so it’s going to be a fun couple of days as we welcome the Easter bunny to store and hope to see as many children join in the fun.”
