A new Mappin & Webb collection handcrafted by long-standing Mappin & Webb master craftsman and Crown Jeweller to Her Majesty The Queen has just been unveiled at Goldsmiths Bullring.
The Mappin & Webb Empress Collection consists of 24 fine jewellery pieces created by Royal Warrant Holders, Mappin and Webb. Five pieces from this iconoclastic collection will be exclusively available from the Goldsmiths store in Bullring, the only location outside of the capital to preview this stunning 18ct white gold and diamond collection.
Evening pieces include a breath-taking pair of articulated waterfall earrings that sparkle and dance as their diamond surface catches the light . The jewels in the crown feature pink sapphires in dazzlingly ornate designs. An elaborate cuff is a feat of craftsmanship; the motif being repeated in concentric circles set with 6.15 carats of diamonds and 5.84 carats of round-cut pink gems.
A modern knuckleduster of a cocktail ring stacks two motifs, one starring a round-cut 0.75ct pink sapphire, the other, a cushion-cut 0.85ct yellow diamond. To be worn, if one dares, with complementary pieces from this collection within a collection: dramatic chandelier or delicate drop earrings, articulated bracelets and a truly imperial pendant.
The unveiling of the collection comes days after it was revealed that Duchess of Cambridge has Birmingham roots descending from the Chamberlain and Martineau families.
