Selfridges Birmingham is celebrating the launch of its newest in-store concept – the Beauty Workshop, featuring 46 cosmetic, hair and skincare brands – with an exclusive masterclass from the co-founder of world-leading clinical skincare brand, Dr Dennis Gross.

Carrie Gross, co-founder of the multi-award-winning Dr Dennis Gross brand, will be at Selfridges Birmingham with her global team of facilialists on Friday, January 31, for the one-of-a-kind event.

Carrie will lead the intimate and educational skincare masterclass while attendees enjoy a Dr Dennis Gross signature treatment facial, incorporating a customised consultation, professional peel, LED treatment and a soothing and hydrating mask, worth £125 in-clinic.

The peel administered on the day will be a multi-acid blend targeting hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, breakouts, fine lines and wrinkles – a treatment usually offered only in Dr Gross’s dermatology practice in New York City.

Tickets for the event, which will take place in the store’s renowned Beauty Hall on Level 3 from 10 – 11.30am, cost £50. The ticket price includes a goodie bag of deluxe minis and refreshments on the day, as well as being redeemable against Dr Dennis Gross products purchased on the day. Guests  spending more than £150 will also receive a full-size product gift.

We’re continuously innovating to make shopping here a great experience and this demonstrates our commitment to introducing brands that are not available anywhere else in the city centre.”

Featuring four zones – hair, skin, colour and travel – the Beauty Workshop is located in the centre of the Beauty Hall and enables shoppers to find exactly what they need in an easy, shoppable format. The layout of the department focuses on seven categories: Clean Beauty, Korean Beauty, Spa And Wellness, The Skin Lab, Beauty Tools, Haircare, and Travel Essentials.

For skincare, Selfridges is also the only store in the city where you can buy Paula’s Choice skincare, all SPF-based and fragrance free; The INKEY List, a collection of 15 hero products, including retinol and hyaluronic acid, formulated by a team of experts and scientists; Indie Lee, the ‘eco-chic’ skin and body care line, which does not use any synthetic chemicals; French Girl, which uses water-free formulations made with botanical extracts; Farsali that uses key ingredients such as vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and rosehip seed oil and Dr. Jart+, which uses innovative technology to address severe skin issues.

K-Beauty is also on offer at the Beauty Workshop, bringing a fun edge to the Beauty Workshop, with lines including TONYMOLY, whose ingredients, cutting-edge technologies and cute packaging combine to create serious skin care and make up; and Neogen, which has developed advanced, high-performance cruelty-free formulas using its six-core bio-technology.

The Beauty Workshop also boasts a strong vegan beauty range, with the exclusively available Summer Fridays, which was founded by Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores, and includes the best-selling Jet Lag Mask that leaves skin feeling gorgeous.
