Food lovers will be pleased to hear that ASK Italian has launched a brand new, flagship restaurant on New Street in the heart of Birmingham city centre.
The 150 cover restaurant reflects the brand’s distinctive new look, inspired by bold, fresh Milanese design coupled with warm foodie touches. General Manager Fernando Freitas and his team are extemely friendly and knowledgable about the food on offer, as well as the provenance of the ingredients.
The menu created in conjunction with one of the country’s most celebrated Chefs, Theo Randall, and features simple, classic Italian food made with the finest ingredients, with starters such as a Caprese salad, made with fior di latte (cow’s milk mozzarella) and both San Marzano and Santos tomatoes. Mains include pasta, risotto and pizza dishes – including the unique ‘Prima’ pizzas, with long, crispy bases, stone baked with specially selected toppings. There are also meat and fish dishes, including a new ‘pork belly porchetta’ – a Tuscan classic: slow-roasted, meaty pork belly in herbed red wine sauce served with new potatoes and greens. On top of this, customers can also purchase bottles of Ask’s own exclusive olive oil and balsamic vinegar, direct from specialist suppliers in Italy, as well as sets of the unique wine glasses used within the restaurant.
