Our first Bank Holiday after Easter is just round the corner, falling on Monday 7th May.

We’ve picked out some of the best ways to spend your weekend in the city centre. From live music, bottomless brunch to comedy nights, there’s plenty to keep you entertained over the Bank Holiday.

Laugh out loud at Cherry Red’s Comedy night

Chuckle the night away on Friday (4th) at some of the best TV comedians in the UK at Cherry Red’s.

This comedy night has seen guest appearances from the likes of Joe Lycett, Ivo Graham and Daniel Simonson.

You will also be able to enjoy some of Cherry Red’s great food and craft beers during the show.

Enjoy live music, food and drink at City Social

Enjoy what’s going to be the hottest bank holiday on record at City Social.

The food and music festival is back with their Spring event at the Suffolk Street Queensway Underpass.

The event will trade seven days a week from 12noon – 7pm Sunday to Wednesday and 12noon – 9pm Thursday to Saturday until 28th May.

Traders will be serving up local food, drink as well as a full entertainment schedule of local acoustic artists, DJ’s and live bands.

Bespoke set-ups and vehicles will include: Pimms, burgers, juice & smoothies, desserts, Caribbean cuisine, Peaky Blinders bar & retail from Sadler’s Brewery, ABK Bavarian beer, fish & chips, Indian street food from Mahirs, a City Social bar and more.

Enjoy a bottomless brunch at Harvey Nichols

What better way to kick off your Bank Holiday Sunday than with a boozy brunch at Harvey Nichols. Enjoy decadent bottomless champagne and a delicious range of brunch favourites, including mashed avocado & egg on sourdough, cheese & tomato omelette and pancakes with maple syrup.

Is it really a Bank Holiday if a few cocktails weren’t consumed? See Take That’s new musical, The Band at Birmingham Hippodrome

If you’re a Take That fan, The Band Musical is a show you won’t want to miss.

Produced by David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers and Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, Robbie Williams. The Band Musical follows five 16 year old friends in 1992 where ‘the band’ is everything. Now 25 years on, the group of friends reunite, now 40-something year old women, as they try to once more fulfil their dream of meeting their idols.

It lands at Birmingham Hippodrome on 1st May until 12th May.
