Food with Benefits At Coffee Lounge

If you’re looking for wholesome, healthy and tasty food along with great coffee and juice, Food with Benefits at Coffee Lounge is the place for you. The Navigation Street Coffee Shop sits opposite the entrance to New Street Station and offers healthy breakfasts & lunches.

Andy Dowd, Chef at Food with Benefits, believes that the starting point of any menu should be the customer: “As lives are sometimes far too busy, it’s important that food that works with you and keeps you sharp & focused throughout your day whilst not being calorific.” All food is made fresh daily with raw ingredients to control flavour, additives, salt and sugar levels.

The delicious chilled & hot sandwich range are made using sourdough bread, which tastes great yet is super easy for the body to digest. It’s a bread that doesn’t leave you with a bloated feeling and because it’s low G.I it will keep you feeling full for longer. Fillings include chicken with a creole seasoning, beef with pesto and riccota cheese (instead of mayo) and a homemade hummus sandwich as a vegan option.

Boxed salads include the amazing Superfood Salad with ingredients such as high protein quinoa, pumpkin seeds, sunflowers seeds, raw beetroot and roasted butternut squash (which is gluten free) or Chicken Ceaser with kidney  and callenilli bean, which is high in protein and tastes amazing.

The coffee shop also offers amazing espresso based coffee drinks & fresh juices including carrot with a hint of chilli, tropical, pineapple, peach iced tea and iced coffee. There’s a great selection of  cakes made by a local baker, Honey Tree Bakery, using simple ingredients to create the most tasty cakes.

The chilled high protein muscle maker porridge is the house special  – a perfect start to any day!

With free Wifi, meeting rooms and an Early Bird Special of £1.00 for selected hot drinks from 6:00-7:30 am each day, Food with Benefits at the Coffee Lounge is the perfect place to stop by in Birmingham city centre for a tasty eat-in or takeaway treat.
