Experience a taste of summer at The Mailbox
Birmingham’s most stylish leisure and lifestyle destination, The Mailbox, will be kicking off summer in style this year with the return of its popular food tasting event.
Back by popular demand, the ‘Taste of the Mailbox’ event will be returning from 18-20th July and 25-27th July to give visitors the chance to sample some of the delicious world cuisine available from its restaurants including, Malmaison Brasserie, Côte Brasserie, Harvey Nichols Espresso Café, Café Rouge, Pizza Express, Gourmet Burger Kitchen and The Oriental. From Spanish tapas to French Moules-frites, there’s an irresistible choice of delectable dishes from around the world for everyone to enjoy.
Over the course of the two weekends, The Mailbox will also welcome musical performances as part of the Birmingham Jazz Festival (18 – 27 July).
Tarah Hewitt, marketing manager at The Mailbox, said: “The Mailbox’s selection of restaurants are already really popular with our visitors, especially for summer al fresco dining, but what’s great about ‘Taste’ is that it gives people the chance to sample something different from the menu that they might not have thought to order.
“We’ve also timed this event around the World Cup so people can indulge in food from a number of the countries competing – from French to Italian we’ve got everything covered!”
The Mailbox is currently undergoing an exciting redevelopment but its selection of chic waterfront restaurants and bars are remaining open throughout the redevelopment. One of its most popular venues, Penny Blacks Wine & Ale House, also recently underwent its own refurbishment including unveiling a delicious new menu and cocktail bar.
The Mailbox will also welcome luxury cinema operator, Everyman Cinema to the premises in Winter 2014. The three screen, 12,000 sq ft Everyman cinema will offer the very latest in digital projection and also feature a fully licenced bar with fine wines, champagnes, beers and cocktails, as well as an enhanced food offering.
