5 hottest SS17 beauty trends you must try
Now we are in the midst of Spring, it’s time to see what makeup trends are going to be taking 2017 by storm. This season, it seems whatever goes and less about following the ‘norm’ of makeup. On the catwalks, there was plenty of colour, particularly on the lips and eyes and the skin was left glowy and natural.
So here’s our top pick of the hottest SS17 beauty trends you must be trying now.
A timeless and classic look, so it’s no surprise it’s back this SS17. A red lip can instantly perk up your complexion and make you look put together which is perfect for the office. If you want to make this trend more fresh and modern, try opting for an orange toned red, as demonstrated by Chanel at Selfridges beauty event last month.
No Make-up/Glowy skin
Less is certainly more with this trend. It’s all about keeping the skin natural and glowy. You can achieve this look with a light foundation or BB cream and a cream highlighter, applying it where the light naturally hits your face.
Glitter lips were everywhere on the catwalk. It is the perfect trend to rock to a festival or a night out. You can make this look more subtle by using light pink glitter instead of silver or gold. If you’re not feeling glitter on the lips, try dusting some on the tops of your cheekbones for a mystical unicorn look that is super hot right now!
Colour Block eyes
It’s time to step away from your neutral eyeshadows and embrace being bold with your eyes. This look is so easy to recreate at home as all it involves is one bright eyeshadow and blending! There was a theme of pastel shades on the catwalk from peaches, pinks to lilacs and pale blues. Just experiment and find what colour works best for you.
Whether you love it or hate it, the 80’s is back! There was lots of bright pink blusher and plenty of blue eyeshadow to give us some serious nostalgia vibes. However, this trend isn’t for everyone but the look can easily be toned down for a more everyday look.
